<aside> 📌 As mentioned in the first lesson (morning routine), the best time to repeat affirmations is in the theta state, whether that’s when you are just awakening in the morning, or falling asleep at night. However, you can get yourself into this state through mindfulness and meditation. A relaxed state is when you become highly suggestible, bypassing the analytical part of the mind.

The truth about Affirmations

I've seen countless influencers push affirmations like 'I am a billionaire' or 'My soulmate worships the ground I walk on,' but let's keep it real – that's just not how it works. Our brains have a hard time accepting affirmations that seem unrealistic, which just sabotages our ability to align with our desires.

So, instead of unrealistic affirmations, let's bring it back down to Earth. If you're pinching pennies, declaring 'I'm a billionaire' won’t do you any favours.

A better affirmation….

‘I'm open to attracting abundance'. This works by priming your brain to notice and seize opportunities for prosperity. When you affirm this, you're essentially signalling to your brain to focus on abundance, which activates the reticular activating system (RAS) in your brain. This part of your brain acts like a filter, helping you notice and prioritize things that align with your affirmations. So, by opening yourself up to abundance, you're essentially training your brain to seek out and attract more of it into your life.

As for the relationship affirmation…

'I'm worthy of love and respect' is like rewiring your brain to prioritize healthy relationships. When you affirm this, you're telling your brain what you deserve, which activates the brain's reward system. This system releases feel-good chemicals like dopamine and oxytocin, reinforcing the belief that you are worthy of love and respect. As a result, you're more likely to attract and maintain fulfilling relationships based on mutual respect and affection.
