When to Practice

<aside> 📎 The ideal time for practicing affirmations is first thing in the morning, or as you are falling asleep at night. This allows you to tap into slower brain wave states like the suggestible theta state. During these periods, our conscious filter is inactive, making it easier to embed positive beliefs effectively. The conscious filter is the part of us that challenges us when we say things like, “I’m going to get this job.” It undermines positive thinking, due to the beliefs we have internalized that are stored in the subconscious mind. It. says things like, who are you kidding, there are better people out there for the job, you aren’t lucky, you won’t be chosen.
